What do a map a panto script and the Electoral Roll have in common?
No – not a children’s riddle but the time capsule to mark the 900th anniversary of the Domesday Book.
Along with tapes of bell-ringing and the choral society, articles about village history, pictures, photo’s etc this capsule was organized by the Steventon Village Society.
A celebration of the village was held at the Church on 27th September 1986 complete with children’s competitions, history display and the burial of the capsule itself.
