Parish Magazine
The Parish Magazine was a predecessor to the Steventon News organized by the Church, originally a joint effort with Drayton Parish. Our, incomplete collection runs from 1877 to 1945.
The cover pages were specific to Steventon and the centre pages were full of uplifting and spiritual articles that were used in magazines across the country.
In 1942 It was requested that these center pages be sent for recycling, to aid the war effort, and so nearly all the issues shown here are covers only.
What they do show is a fantastic glimpse into village life of over 100+ years ago
