The clubhouse underwent a major refurbishment in the autumn of 2019, funding having been secured largely from developers money via the Vale of White Horse District Council. It was officially reopened on 1st November 2019.

The photo (right) shows Ron Atkinson opening the new clubhouse in 1969. Kevin Smith returned to the club with the small trophy presented to him by Atkinson on the occasion of the new clubhouse's 50th anniversary in 2019.

Prior to 1969, SSSC's stood on the same side of the green as today.
