Steventon Methodist Church

Now a private House in the High Street the Methodist Church was built in 1861. This replaced the previous tradition of visiting preachers holding services from the back of farm wagons. A school room was added to the building in 1878. During WW II a troop of the Pioneer Corps, made up of conscientious objectors, boosted the congregation here and in surrounding villages.
